Medical & Dental Volunteer Nepal June 20th, July 20th and August 29th 2014

“Lend a Hand, See the World”

The remote villages of Tapting and Gorha are in the Everest region of the eastern Himalayas of Nepal. We are facilitating two cultural immersions which include volunteering with children and the people of these villages, as well as some eco-touring and a trek called Pikey Peak (4065M, 13,500 ft). A great introduction to Nepal trekking and cultural adventure, Pikey Trek offers you breathtaking sunrise and sunset views during good weather. The trail passes through some of the most beautiful and unique Sherpa settlements of lower Everest region including monasteries and a yak cheese factory. Tapting (population 2016) is the birth place of AC Sherpa, 7 Summits Foundation and International Sherpa Guides (ISG) President. The people of this area will receive our volunteer support for teaching in their school and providing medical service during this trip.

There are other interesting activities at Pikey such as paragliding, mountain biking, bird watching, pilgrimage and meditation, all optional. The Pikey Danda is most popular for its sunrise and sunset views and one can enjoy the magnificent sight of the peaks beyond the Kathmandu Valley to the plains along with the Himalayan range of Mt. Everest, Makalu and Rolwanling.

#1. Trip Dates June 20th 20142. Volunteering and Chitwan Safari itinerary:

This month-long cultural tour expands on the above tour by immersing you in nature by adding a jungle safari in the south of Nepal in Royal Chitwan National Park. This park is a world Natural Site declared by UNESCO. Our safaris offer a chance to see the endangered Asian one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tigers, Gangetic crocodiles and fresh water dolphins. The diverse ecology of the park is home to 600 plant species, 50 mammals, 526 birds and 49 amphibians and reptiles. In addition, the Tharu Community, a traditional culture of people in the area, perform dances and other activities that add to the cultural immersion of this safari. Options and suggestions for activities in the park as as follows: Elephant Back Safari: Elephants are the traditional means of exploring the jungle and finding the excusive animals of the Terai. Canoeing: A typical hand-made dugout canoe can take you on the great Rapti river where you can see gharials and crocodiles basking in the sun and enjoy watching the many colorful birds. Bird watching: Birds lovers will have a wonderful opportunity to see many species of birds in the early morning as the new day dawns.

Those who does not have much time for vacation only help for people who has very low income, never been to dentist before and who has lots of oral health issue. Helping hand by ADA or, World oral health organization can take 8-10 days off from your work or, your business to support theese people who needs your professional help. This itinerary is pretty much in and from Kathmandu capital city Nepal.
